Getting started -- How does this work ?

 A timber frame building is not for everyone.  But then again, you’re not everyone are you.  I build structures  with power and grace.   My  timber frames include design, joinery, transport to your location and raising. They’re priced between $20 and $45 a square foot depending size, style and finish. 
Whether you have floor plans, clippings from magazines, a pile
of timbers and lots of questions or just an idea you want to have sketched out and priced.  I welcome involvement in your project at whatever stage of the process you may be in.

 My services include:
Design, joinery and raising of timber frame structures and
 design and consulting of Insulated concrete form foundations (ICF) and
both custom enclosure and structural insulated panel systems (SIPs).

 I can also provide complete design, construction consulting and project management for all phases of your project.

I advocate strongly for Sustainable / Local / Green Design.  You have more options then you might think and in many cases greener choices can cost the same or less then then alternatives with a larger impact on the planet.

My structures draw inspiration from the English, Japanese and New England timber frame traditions. Each is cut by hand with traditional joinery and is held together with ash pegs.
